Alignment
Any recommendations for alignment?
Our GLS580 tires (Michelin Primacy) are being replaced at 30,000 miles at Costco with the same tires, Michelin Primacy, The MB dealership recommended an alignment at $539 stating it was expensive due to the sensors for the Active Driving. Has anyone else heard this same thing from their dealership?
The old tires don't appear to be out of alignment, the wear is even. Should it be re-aligned?

I didn't after my last tire purchase on my '14 GL450. During the pandemic I failed inspection for tread depth. I had purchased 4 Michelins through the dealer and got an alignment at that time. Those tires failed for tread depth. I contacted the dealer for a warranty adjustment but they were lukewarm. I contacted Michelin who sent me a 2 page response full of legalese but suggest I take the car to the nearest authorized tire shop. The one closest to me didn't make my boat float. So I went to Discount Tire. They offered me new Michelins with a 50% discount under the warranty. Done. The old tires showed no signs of misalignment so I did not get them aligned. They were all wearing evenly when I traded it in on a '17 GLS550. Like the tire ads used to say "your mileage may vary".

I just had an alignment done at my MB dealership for $229, and my GLS has all the Active Driving options. So I think your dealership is, uh, full of it. Hopefully you have another MB dealership in your area that you can try, or an independent shop with a proper alignment machine.
