Mercedes-Benz GLS Service Schedule

Hello All,
Is the schedule available somewhere as I am not able to find in inside the GLS Operator's Manual?
Interested into A,B services and intervals. Usually, other manufacturers put this information in the manual.

Also would DIY void the warranty i.e. oil / engine / air filters change?

DIY does not expressly void the warranty, nor does having your servicing done at an independent mechanic, versus Mercedes. HOWEVER, if you ever find yourself in the middle of a Mercedes warranty claim, and your servicing was NOT done my Mercedes, then you'd better be sure you've got very good proof that your vehicle was serviced properly (receipts, photos, affidavits, sworn depositions, blood oaths, etc.). For this reason, I choose to service with the dealership during the warranty period, to avoid the potential brain damage.

Service Intervals (AMG, diesel and G-wagon will differ somewhat):
Oil & Filter (10k)
Dust Filter (10k) - if applicable
Cabin Combination Filter (20k)
Brake Fluid Flush (2 yrs)
Wiper Blades (2 yrs)
Engine Air Filter (50k)
Spark Plugs (50k)
Transmission Fluid and Filter (60k)
4MATIC Transfer Case Oil (60k)
Fuel Filter (120k)
Coolant (120k)

You are correct... Mercedes used to publish a "Maintenance Booklet," which included the required service intervals and all the items that the service tech is supposed to check at each service. At some point, Mercedes stopped including this booklet with new vehicles. The last one I've seen was for MY17. (If anyone has a Maintenance Booklet newer than MY17, please post it!) Since I haven't seen anything published after MY17, I've been relying on the MY17 intervals.

Interestingly, I noted a couple changes between MY14 and MY15, in that Mercedes reduced the spark plug interval from 60k down to 50k, and they reduced the transmission fluid/filter interval from 70k down to 60k.

Of course, you can always ask your dealer what they recommend, but then you're at the mercy of your service advisor's commission check for whatever services he wants to "recommend" (i.e. sell) you today...

I've attached the MY17 Maintenance Booklet here.

Hope this helps!

I will only go to the dealer for service in the warranty period. Out of warranty, I can either get rid of the car or use an independent mechanic.

@mercedesbuff Thanks for the extensive answer. Thanks for sharing the maintenance manual as well, this is what I was talking about.
Information inside is concise and right the to point. Addressing my concerns, manual says this:
--------
The following cases are not covered by the Mercedes-Benz New Vehicle Limited Warranty:
  • using engine oils and oil filters of specification other than those expressly required for the ASSYST PLUS service interval display.
  • changing of oil and oil filter at change inter- vals longer than those called for by the ASSYST PLUS service interval display.
Service, replacement, or repair of the emission control devices and systems can be performed by any automotive repair establishment or individual using certified parts.
We strongly recommend that you have your vehicle serviced by your authorized Mercedes-Benz Center which is fully equipped to provide this service.
--------
So bottom line is as long as certified parts are used, its all good. Of course the main message is to go to the stealership but I guess they are not allowed to say if u dont go there warranty is void.
@EWL5 Thanks for providing your thoughts as well.
