Point defect - repainted at the factory

Paint defect - repainted at the factory
I noticed that my 8 month old GLS450 in Polar White has a 3 inch square of slightly different tint on the quarter panel. I suspect they repainted a defect in the Vehicle Processing Center. What can be done about it, since I do not want the entire door/side repainted to attempt a paint match. So the question is: 1) is there a way to determine what defects were fixed at the VPC and 2) do you think they would cash compensate me for the defect?
