coolant drain instruction for 2020 GLS580

20200 GLS 580
coolant drain instruction for 2020 GLS580
I would like to coolant flush and I found some instructions. Please see attached.
It said "remove transmission fluid cooler" first before draining the coolant. Do I have to remove the cooler? Please advise me if you know what do to. thanks

I am kinda confused.
  • Why the oil cooler needs to be removed before the draining? I just want to know the reason
  • In "pour in" precedure, Don't I need to unclamp the coolant hoses and attached the cooler first?

with MB you don't have to always strictly follow their manuals
just estimate yourself or also search on youtube

For example I use to lift the car up then lower the subframe instead of pulling out the V12 TT
