Updating maps
I'm having trouble updating installing the full map update which requires loading it on a USB stick.

What I tried:
Using the download manager, downloaded the 23gb update files onto a USB C stick (tried 2 different sticks)

Insert stick into lower dash usb ports
- not sure which is the right one, but I tried both the regular port and the CarPlay port several times
- turn on car and wait for prompt to install the updates which never comes
- I've verified the car can see the sticks, because I when I navigate to the music menu I see the stick's name as a USB source option

What am I doing wrong? Anyone had success with the most recent update?

Is the file format NTFS, not saying it is a requirement but worth trying.

You might try the USB-C port in the armrest bin.

For NTG6 is clearly specified on DLM, is mandatory to be NTFS formated before uploading the Map.

They removed the feature (as in editing after certain time) like last year as they said it is easier to moderate that way... apparently.

Yeah I know but sometimes it makes for disjointed threads.
I'm all for making facilitators lives easier, so if that's the reason I'm fine with it.

I understand and I agree, it does. In an FAQ thread or log type thread, it also makes it much harder to organize information.

So the cutoff period for editing seems to be 240 minutes from initial post.

Ok, so the drives that I've tried are formatted exFAT, which I read should be compatible the Mercedes? Doesn't seem like NTFS is possible on a Mac.

If you read the previous posts, and if you have the pre-facelift GLS with NTG 6, you have to have NTFS format according to their post. Either get a windows computer or see if there is a program on mac that can format NTFS for you.
