Driver Cup Holder Retractable Buckle for 2017 GLS550

Does anyone have the instructions for replacing the "Driver Cup Holder Retractable Buckle for 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLS550"?

Mine has broken. I have ordered and received the replacement part. It looks like I need to remove the entire center console and disassemble the cup holder to replace the part. I am hoping there is a simpler solution.
