It's most likely this, the PCB in the lamp assembly and not the modules.
The thought of opening the lamp was just too overwhelming for me to attempt based on what I already knew about the damage the smallest amount of moisture inside these lamps will cause. For me, the safest play was to just get a used lamp assembly given the fact that if by chance it wasn't the PCB, the front end would need to come off a third time. I wasn't willing to take that risk given how fed up I was already. So, I just ate the expense rather than trying to open it up and replace it myself.
I wish you all the best though and hope this gets you fixed up! I'm also sorry this happened to you. This issue has really been my only negative experience with the car but it was a really big issue so, I know how frustrated you must be by now.

Well trying to get the lens off by baking the housing is a waste of time. I had it in at 270* for 20 minutes and it didnt budge the sealant. IMO these headlamps are completly un-servicable. With all the tech in these things its a ticking time bomb. I really dont appreciate the $1700+tax for the headlight alone and I am guessing one in 10 vehicles will need at least one replaced. Miine needs both!
