All season tire solution!?

Hi guys, first time posting here. We bought a 2024 GLS580 and love it, except when the time comes to buy new shoes. We have the 22's with staggered setup. I'm tired of swapping/storing wheels every 6 months and we all know there aren't any 22-inch AW/AS options in the 325. Has anyone tried putting 305/40r22's on instead. They should fit the 11.5 rim and would only be 10mm narrower visually (10 on each side, 20 total). Handling shouldn't be affected much, as the offset and suspension geometry would be the same.. Thoughts?

Another thought is all weather tires just not sure if there is a size. If it doesn't snow and doesn't get below 45F in your area, it might be fine to have all seasons.

All-season are surely fine even at much lower temperatures. I’ve had all-season on our GLS last winter, and the car was unbelievably stable (so much better than our X7) at temperatures as low as 0 degF, including snow and dry-ice conditions. I also coded Snow mode and it works great on roundabouts and acceleration, and does smooth engine braking. I didn’t see the need for Snow winter with the GLS like other SUVs I had.

I just bought a set of 21” all-season Michelin Primacy Tour A/S tires for our GLS and installed them on Saturday. The SUV tire treads look great! Michelin comfort and noise level are great; I also got a set for the 7-series a few weeks ago.

I see, not all all season tires are created equal. Maybe my mindset is just old that you need winters when it snows. Then there was the crabbing issue at low temperatures.

These look great! Unfortunately, I have the 22's. I could go with the Michelin Pilot Sport 4s in stock size for fronts, but the back would have to be a 305/40R22 instead of the stock 325 width. Wanted to see if anyone has run a 305/40R22 size before

Did you have any issues with the sidewalls of the Primacy Tour being different with the staggered sizes? I bought a set of those for my S560 and returned them because the front width had a huge curb rash lip while the wider rears had no lip, they looked ridiculous...

Hmmm, maybe I have "accidently" fixed this issue? As I wrote a month ago in Bimmerpost, the Michelin for my i7 are actually 10mm wider than the factory size (just so I can get NRF and All-season option... instead of RF). The 10mm wider tires look better on the car, but they might have also addressed the curb rash lip? I haven't noticed it with these tires, but maybe the remedy was the 10mm wider tire although that was not intentional as I wasn't aware of this issue.
The curb rash lip with these is actually better than the OEM Perilli, but again maybe because of the 10mm wider tire.

Answer is below. It's like that after I wash it in my garage until I drive it. Usually they are back to normal as soon as I pull out of my garage and drive off. Those who babysit their cars and hand-wash them would know, lol.

Dug up pictures of mine, it was very noticable!

Oh, wait, I see where the confusion is.
The Michelin on my GLS are Primacy Tour, HOWEVER, the Michelin on my i7 are NOT Primacy Tour .. they are Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 4
You W222 photos definitely look like something was wrong. The front on your photos would have bugged me more than the rear.

The lip is just right in the Pilot Sport...

Yeah I noticed that on the i7, I meant your GLS. Yeah the rears were fine but the fronts were really strange looking.

I had the 23's. I got new "squared" wheels in 22 x 9.5 45 offset. They are a forged copy of the AMG OEM. Just yesterday had 285/45/22 Michelin Cross climate II put on. I can only say what a difference. Awesome tires. I explained what I did to the Costco installer and he said he put the wheels on the balancing machine before he mounted the tires and told me they were absolutely perfect. That was a relief. Now the rears are tucked in more than I would like but on a recommendation from @Scttq I will be ordering the H&R B46556655 TRAK+® Wheel Spacers.
Huge difference in the ride, so much so that I will be selling the OEM 23's with just under 3K miles. They are in perfect condition if anyone is interested. I had planned on swapping the OEM in spring but I really don't see any need to do so now

I forgot the center caps at home, they are on now.

Any additional pictures? Where you order the wheels from?

I am away from home until Tuesday. Will post when I get back. I took a chance and used a company from Made in China website based on a recommendation from @mike7513 . I used a different company than the one he used. It took a while to get them, about 2 months because there was a little back in forth in the design. I guess they are custom. They seem exact except these are completely gloss black and don't have the small machined edge near the lip. They are also forged according to them but how would I know. Overall I am extremely happy. I am waiting to hear back from them because two center caps have a broken tab. I asked for the center cap size an ordered them from eBay I think. It will be faster than waiting for them to send a new set and they are cheap. When I get home I will send you the name if you want.
I wonder if you wanted the same style if it would be faster. They were like $1200 with shipping to my door. 900 for the wheels and 300 for shipping. To me it was worth it.

I sometimes wonder if some of these claims adjusters are just jealous of our cars and want to be PITAs.
I think it's more of a fulfillment of a job description. They work for the company not you. It's like insurance, it's great until you need it. To them its all about the exclusions not the inclusions on a policy.
