Need New Taillight

Hello, my passenger side rear right taillight is out. I went to the auto body shop but pricing is a little too high but way better than Mercedes dealership pricing 100% I'm willing to do it if necessary with the autobody shop. However, I would like to replace it myself. If I order these parts:

#167-906-3007
#167-906-3607

Are they plug and play? Do I need coding after installation? My tailights work fine just the back up light on the right side of the car doesn't work.

Should be plug and play, and worst case just try to do the labor work yourself first, and if it doesn't work let the body shop (or Benz) do the diagnosis and part recognition for you. Or chat with Max from @EleBest if it needs coding by then, am pretty sure he can help although I think think it is just plug and play.

Hint: disconnect the negative from the battery first before you remove the existing lighting modules, otherwise you might get a permanent error in the form of engine light that needs Mbenz software/hardware to clear up. I had this issue when I disconnected the passenger seat, which triggered an air-bag message, and it I had to ask Elebest to clear it up for me.

No worry. Your Taillights can be replaced without any coding. Plug and play. Just need turn off car. No need remove negative pole of battery.

Airbag is in the seat, once disconnected it will trigger airbag check light in cluster. Taillights are just some LED lights. If you can do some soldering work, you can try to fix it by replace one or some LEDs.

Thanks for your reply. I just want to buy the taillight assembly on eBay OEM Brand New and just replace it. It's just the rear right tail light back up light is dim very dim but there's moisture in the right side trunk taillight and right taillight

I assume you're out of warranty. Otherwise, moisture in a light assembly has been covered for a few members here.
