GLS multiple issues

I cant get my 3rd row seat back to go down. The right works fine but the left wont move. It was down, i put it up then immediately tried to put it down and it is stuck. I have a 24 hour drive home and cant fit my cargo. dealers cant look at it for 2 weeks. Does anyone know if the is some sort of manual release?

Yes - there is a manual release...I forget where it is...When I get off the phone I can walk down to the car. Few times we get things under there (once a wallet) that kinks up the works. 99.9% of the time they work perfect...or I am hitting the wrong button. Are you trying them from the lift gate?

I have looked everywhere for some sort of a release. It seems that the prior generation did have a manual release but not on my car. Mine is a 2023. I am trying to fold the seats from the cargo area near the lift gate. The right one works fine but not the left

I don't believe there is anyway to manually fold the 3rd row seats. The manual release is only for the 2nd row.

If the 3rd row doesn't click or try to move at all, try to see the fuse maps and test the fuse. Also try to manually move the headrest for the 3rd row. If they are stuck upwards, the seat wouldn't fold.

This looks like the previous generation. Note that this is the X167 subforum though (2020-present GLS). I think the answer is the same anyway.

None of them have a manual for the far back - myself (and others) have had to compress the headrest on the far back seat to get it to clear the forward seat. Have you tried to fold the second row seat forward to see if it will then release?

Some years ago ours did not move, after poking around I found my lost wallet suck in it.....used a ruler to work it out of the space between the seat back and the passanger side of the car. That wallet was missing for over a year.

Was any money "found " in it ? As a teenager I remember finding a $50 bill in a pair of pants I had't worn in a year and thought awesome I found $50. lol

If you have one of the 2nd row seats buckled in, the 3rd row seat behind it won't fold because the folding process requires motoring the 2nd seat forward temporarily to make room for the 3rd row seat folding to complete.

Unbuckle all seats, then try folding your 3rd row.
