It is very interesting all the replies from W211 owners, I also have one W211, the connectors are just way different to install this wheel.

Do the CLS wheels fit than?

if you look at the buttons on the new wheels, none of them really correspond to the w211/w219 wheel buttons... i'm sure you can install this wheel in a 211, but none of the buttons will work. maybe the airbag will, but it depends if it's the same type or not

does this install into a W211 steering column shaft? I can work out the wiring but this steering wheel is so sick that I really think I want to try it out.

DCT says it won't fit the W211 steering column shaft so back to the drawing board.
