Sorry if this is silly question, where does that cup holder fit ?
I just purchased a w211 E55 and it has the spot behind the shifter , where I see you can get pop up holders, but can't see where this one sits.
I like this style better. ( I need a coffee on my drive in to work ! )

The wooden part actually slides open and the cup holder sits inside it. Since you have the older style of the armrest, you won't be able to fit this holder unless you completely do the upgrade. Your best bet would be to keep your existing setup.
