I kept it when I bought another. It is about as new as you will find. No wear, dirty hands, ring marks, etc. Yes, has shift buttons in the back, see all the pix.
Nice upgrade for your worn/discolored one, or a non-AMG car. Should use your OE airbag, up to 06.

Check this and see---
I believe that is the same number, they are so hard to read. I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure B51 is the color code....
I have checked several 06's, and the bag is the same. You are right, and we are good to go.
