ARM IPO
It's gonna happen sometime next month. I'm keeping my powder dry! Looks like it'll have a healthy valuation and most IPOs from the last couple years you can buy cheaper today, so I'll probably be in-and-out, same amount.

Man I'm trying hard to be a disciplined long-term investor and not a day trader who only cares about technicals but there's like a shark feeding frenzy happening around this one. I'm afraid all my laggard stocks like ChargePoint are in danger. I could recover all my losses in a single day with this one. From what I hear could happen as soon as day after pricing on 13th.

Whew 10X oversubscribed! You'd think that'd make it a home run for sure but I still dunno. SoftBank is keeping 90% and their market cap is 67 billion so 54.5 billion for the remain 10% seems quite lofty to me. Of course, that doesn't really mean anything to traders. I'm just really not wanting to hold onto this one long-term. I think the recent VinFast IPO is a good case study on what to expect. In short: a nice little pop on first day or two, some profit taking, weak hands get washed out, the real run begins, it peaks, traders head for the exits, a month later it's cheaper than the IPO price.

Looks like all the weak hands have been washed out by the market makers. They returned the shares they borrowed from the DTCC at $68 for under the opening price of $56, pocketing the $12 a share difference. And it's all legal! Well, we did manage to get regulation SHO anyways so will be watching it to verify. But it seems pretty clear with 10X excess demand that there's really only one way this could have been brought down so quickly like that. As usual, it was an inside job. Anywhosies, the real run may have just begun. Bounced hard off $50 and closed up 6% on light volume.
