CLK430 & S500
hey guys new member here just wanted to tell my story today while i was headed for HBL @ tysons on a residential street before international drive
this guy with his 04 S500 was tailgating me so i said f-it..tapped it to 1 and floored it..i looked at my right window and i could see his left passenger window..tapped it to 2 and thats where i was able to catch up..3 i can see his front grill @ my right side mirror..had to make a left on the light and before he made a right rolled his window down gave me the finger and said"thank you dad for the car!"--since i look young..haha..im 24..i said "f-you! bought this car with my own sweat and blood money..you just couldnt accept the fact that you lost to a 430!"
closed my window and could care less what he said afterwards..
im just amazed by this car..how fast it catches up when it hits 2nd..is this true with all W208's?

My dads E430 is pretty quick in 2nd gear, we've raced three times from a dead stop and i beat him every time. Before you remind me that my car is slower, realize that my dad has zero racing experience and i got a big jump on him all three times and used the autostick when he was in normal auto. I like how his car has a more forceful kickdown than mine. Honestly, im not very impressed with the 500 engines, the 430 produces more power per litre and weighs less. Im not at all surprised that you took the S500 given its extra weight. Enjoy the CLK
