vvrrooom vvroom - SLK v Motorcycle

Driving home the other night, going south on PCH from one beach city to another, I kept coming up to the next light ending up at the line, up front, and with this same motorcycle next to me, again and again.
This was all happening peripherally as I was on the phone the whole time chatting with a friend who had never seen, or heard, my little roadster.
So, when we come up again to another light, one that isn't usually red as its on a long part of the hwy without any other lights or stops or houses or anything around - its part of the wetlands - just an entrance to this booneyville beach parking lot. After all this stopping and takin off together, even peripherally, I knew it had to happen at this light. With all these people behind us, almost all following us the whole time, even they were ready to see it. The stage was set.
So, again, being on the phone, conversation not being interrupted, kinda subconcious, just doing what needed to be done, it was on. Light changes -
VvvRRRRROOOmmmmm vroom VVVVVVVVVVVRRROOOMMMM !!!
We took off together, stayed together and he pulled away for just a second before we both slowed down for the lower speed limit sign due to some road construction (double fines you know).
With our combined engine noise, my friend was like, "what was that??!!!" I told him, "uh ... oh, I was just racing a motorcycle"

Thanks MB for the great engine rumble you put in my little baby
If it was a Harley type....good kill

It was a fast bike and I'm sure he had noticed me chatting away the whole time on the phone, so when the light changed, it was like he kinda took off, but paused a bit to look over and see if I knew it was on or was just an airhead cell talker - that was his first mistake!
ha ha. Just kidding!
Once he saw I was on it, we stayed together until the construction part loomed. He was just starting to pull away as I slowed and then he did too. All just fun

Gosh I love going fast and loud pipes! And I really love when the coast is clear and a like-minded person is in the lane next to me. Guys on fast bikes are always good for that - gotta love um
