Ah, but dont you see that rear step for stand on passengers? It acts as a rear spoiler so it automatically doubles the power to the rear wheels. I bet that kid put it on there as a place to keep the poontang.

Now that I mention it, there are TWO rear spoilers/steps on that beast. what a playa! and 4x the power to the rear wheels!

And by the way, congrats RBrenton on the kill. My father has a dark green w210 E430 and its a nice machine, I took an 80s supra in it from a roll (girl driving, likely exhaust only mod)

Thank you! I also have some 'secret' mods to fool the unsuspecting. K&N filters (1 in the airbox for +50hp, plus another in the trunk for another +50hp), chrome headlight surrounds - +10hp, chrome AMG tire caps - less drag, and two child seats in the rear for equalized weight distribution. A stealth machine for sure. C-class eater!!

Dont forget the stickers... that NOS sticker alone adds 15hp

Exactly!! I was going to mention the stickers....lots of gains to be had there.

Also, I think with the dual (airbox/trunk spare) K & N's you're looking closer to a 75-80 hp gain each.

As for the 240 winning at higher speeds, it happens because the supercharger which 230K owners run back to as incontroverable proof that their car is superior is unfortunately bolted on top of 1, 2, 3, 4 cylinders, so the car runs out of steam past 80ish.

Precedent...

Set it up ill run the trike.
BTW I own all Low Compression/Economy Jap/American 4 cylinders, and some 6s.

C240s are jokes. I'm sure that any brand new V6 Honda Accord or Toyota Camry would eat it alive.

Just when I thought my S430 was slow, whoa, common Mercedes.

Thanks..

I got lucky with money in the past 3 years due to "on-fire" real estate prices in Phoenix.. so my reasons were...

1) she was the one who gave me my first $30,000 to by a house 10 years ago which lead to this added wealth, and really gave me the break I needed to get a home.
2) she always has dreamed of owning a Gold Benz.. and ended up spending $33K (a lot for her) on a C240 4 years ago that she was planing to drive until she died (she now 75)..

When I traded in her C for the E350... the dealer was shocked to find this 4 year old car had a mere 6500 miles!

It was the least I could do to put here in the E350...
Had gas prices not been so crazy in CA, I'd have done an E500.. they weren't much more for the '05's.

I will have to say the 240 does do fairly well...

I was on the way to vegas on thanksgiving... there was a 240 hauling ***, comming up from behind me, i moved over to the right... punched the 320.. that 240 was much more impressive then i though.. still killed it, and he wouldn't race again.. but he was up to 120+ pretty quickly...

Wow! That's amazing. You must've gotten a fairly good trade-in.

BTW, how do you like your XC90. I test drove the T6, and my wife test drove the V8. I thought it kicked ***. They thought of everything on that machine! More than likely my next SUV...
