Lord Vader...RISE!!
I obtained the final remapping of my Kleemann ECU for my stage 7 SLK55 last night & installed it. I had to take the car out & push it a bit to ensure the reprogramming (to adjust a fuel vacume issue causing the Check Engine light to come on) was fixed.
Starting that car in the Garage was like seeing Darth Vader created - the sound of that exhaust is downright evil. :v
So, its about 10:30PM & I enter the Interstate to "test" the acceleration of the car. It had previously put down 489 rwhp about a 6 wks ago, but have not driven the car much at all due to programming gremlins that had to be adjusted by Kleemann Denmark. I had also recently put 100 octane in while the ECU continues to learn for some extra power for when I put it on the Dyno again in early January. Some guy in a new Mustang Cobra immediately paced me while I just entered the Hwy. So,.... I decided to "let my ECU learn" at the Mustang's expense. He nailed it at about 70 mph. Didn't matter. I accelerated like the hand of the Almighty was pushing that SLK. GEEZUZ this thing is SICK. I put a few buslengths on that Cobra like it was standing still (it wasn't - his headlights were still pointing toward the moon under hard acceleration). I had gone from 70 to 120 mph & that guy just got BLASTED. My T/C was blinking but I just kept my foot down. I turned off at the next exit as he decided to perform a flyby. I thought he might want to go again but he did not wish to line up I guess. Oh well
Man, this Kleemann is a BLAST!

FWIW, you live in LA. This meet is in the Bay Area (Pleasonton actually). Its a 7 hr drive from LA so doubt it would be worth it for you anyway, especially in the rain? Forecast is for rain which means I will not attend (I don't drive my sports cars in the rain - too much power on a slick surface, been hit too many times by idiots that can't drive in the wet, and I prefer to keep my RX-7 & SLK immaculate). :p
