Got killed by a Vette
My buddies vette staight up smoked me. From 0-40mph it was about even with all my torque. By the end of the marked off 1/4 mile he was about 15 cars ahead and already breaking. He has a 422 CID with heads/cams and a big shot of nos (700 rwhp). Its a 9 sec car at 140 mph with a 1.6 60-foot time. Off the bottle he beat me by about 7-8 cars.
Btw, his car is for sale. 1997 Cartek C5 for 38K. 40k of mods into it.

It was NASTY lound...Makes the E55 or CLS55 AMG by pass RPM exhaust soulds like a pure joke. I knew I would lose but didn't know how bad. I also lost to my other friends C5 TT putting down 850 rwhp even worse which went 9.9@149 with a 2.0 sec 60-foot. Funny thing is both cars look damn near stock except for 335s in the rear. Both even have stock exhusts with cut outs pre cat.
My car is probably faster than 99.9% of the cars on the road (I probably pass/get passed or see 1,000 cars in a day and maybe every 3rd or 4th day I see a car I think can beat mine) but these cars are 4 sigma cars!

Yeah Jackpro...40K...we could get a better blower, lower compression, higher boost, SLR Intercooler. Ported heads, cams, ported blower, ported TB or Mayback TB. I bet the rods are good for 800hp. The car would probably be good for 700-800hp.

Looking @ your sig & knowing the DC Metro Area, you know that 99% is a lot lower come Spring time! lol

You may need to play fire with fire and add a shot of N20 on ur fity-five to get closer to his playing field. 
Cartek, ECS, Vette Doctors are the East Coast premier Corvette tuners, the cars that come out of those shops are simply STREET PSYCHOS!!! At a recent Corvette GTG here in So Cal, we had 8 blown Vettes pushing 730-840rwhp, no shame in losing to a 850rwhp car....my buddy has a 427 C5R Votech JT Trim pushing 837rwhp-760rwtq, and once his rear tires hook up, it's bye bye to my C6 (creepin at 600rwhp).

This kill reminds me of a '88 'vette convertible I had w/ a Lingenfelder built 383. I thought my 12 second 'vette was bad as they come untill....one night in 'lauderdale on I 595 north of the airport(South Florida guys will remember that stretch before it opened was street racer heaven). I was out playin' around one night when I was single and ended up over at the local "drag strip". I got put up against a guy in a Lamborghini Countach (sp?). Let's just say ...I was never in it!! I thought that my engine quit it was so bad. I looked down at my speedo as I went through the 1/4 and I was running almost 120. The Lambo was easily a hundred yards in front!! Talk about getting beat up!! It was UGLY!

Yeah it reminds me that my car is quick but its not a Street Psycho or never will be. So far I have slayed my friends 2003 Cab 996 X50 and that sucker is good for 11.9s@119 and my friends 11.8 RX7. I think with a TB port and a Cryo kit for 1.25K invested I can see 510rwhp...enough to still beat 99% unless I happen to be in Manassas, VA. lol.
