My first kills!
If you drive fast, do it for you and you only. Driving fast is to enjoy the vehicle, just make sure you know how to control it. As for racing with your family in the car, that is not the right thing to do. On the central road through a number of towns, where it is smooth and stretches for miles, I will do around 60, which is 20 over the limit. Perfectly stable, enjoyable drive. And most people drive around 50-55 so its not like you are wreaking hell. But, if my younger brother is in the car with me, I will not go over 45 mph, and I really could give a **** who is trying to race me.You have to understand that you are placing your family in harms way when you sumbit to such races instigated by idiot drivers, you are proving that you are in fact worse then them.
Take it easy...
spot on child, spot on.

thats how i like my fords (broken) and what do you expect, its a ford

Also, when I say race you guys can figure out that I dont go very fast, I usually let off before even 70MPH just because the other driver never knows Im racing them (obviously that Porsche for example woulda leveled me if he wasnt metally retarded or something, I have no explanation for that one) but its just fun to blow by people at lights and then see their "Pfft, rich kids" expression. Priceless.
BTW yes it was my birthday on Thursday, I am now finally 16
I just want you guys to know that I am not the kind of person who tries to lie or overembelish my stories to get more popular on some online forum, so if you still think my story is BS thats fine, you are entitled to your own opinion and I respect that.

"I grew up in a rich and overly performance oriented family..." wha?!
Which parents will buy such cars to their kids? So much BS over here.

I wouldn't even use those words to describe my family. And I'm getting a (used) CLK55 (hopefully) this week.
OT- So one of my good friends has a 2005 Escape Limited (V6 version?)We "raced" a couple times. Ml320 is dead even with it! haha.

Rich and "overly" performance aren't the best words to describe a family CLK320. Hell a teacher at my school as a 05 CLK320.

Another teacher at my school, is worth close to a million. (Husband owns a business).
I also recall seeing an M3 in the teachers' parking lot.
Plus I never said it was 'cool' to drive fast and I do not concider a CLK320 an expensive car at all. But its pretty nice for a free first car, I personally dislike it for its autobox, automatics are no fun to drive, I'd prefer a stick even if Im stuck in traffic all day its just the way I am I guess. When I said performance oriented family I mean when my dad and his best friend (my friend's dad) were younger they'd always be in street races and like I said they had a Porsche/Lotus even when I was younger my dad would always drive the then-new 300E fast all the time but now he's gotten older and I guess he's had a reverse midlife crisis or something (he's gotten more cautious rather than more spendy and fun loving like most men get near their 50s.....
But like I said, you dont wanna believe me thats fine, and I agree driving fast especially at 16 is not a good idea, but come on, how many of you were cautious and smart when you were a teen? None of you.
