C32 vs Firehawk SLP
). Normally I wouldn't waste time with any F-body car, but this one looked really clean and his plate read "370HAWK", so I thought I'd give him a run and see if it was tuned. As it turns out I was right - that car sounded strong off the line. I had just a little too much wheelspin at the launch, but hooked up well enough to stay in front by half a car length, a gap which s l o w l y increased as we accellerated. I walked him, but not by much to around 100 before we both had to ease up for traffic. He turned off at the next opportunity without so much as a wave. I think he was a bit sore to get taken by a nondescript four-door mercedes
I have a few F-body encounters... but none that actually can be considered note worthy.
I did run a newer SS Silverado (Black with Exhaust) stock 20' yesterday.
405 fwy north bound from the 101 fwy interchange
As I merged into the 405fwy as a regular human being, this truck decides that I'm going to slow and moves to the right and passes me and then settles in front of me.
This tells me, I have power and I want to use it.
Fine.
I get over to the slow lane (empty stretch infront us) and wait for him to nail it.
I was cruising at 60+/- in 3rd gear.. and look back using my driver side mirror. I'm waiving at him to go.
Sure enough.. he guns it.. and I continue to wait. Just as he gets 1 car behind me... and he is probably going atleat 75+ .. i hit.
keep in mind that he has full momentum... I mean full WOT and I was still able to keep the 1 car distance and able to open another one once we reach 100+..
it lasted about 15 seconds total time.
I slowed down and gave him the "what happended" sign

the guy gave me various signs... "one with the finger pointing to his open mouth" and the other with the "thumbs down"
needless to say.. sore looser.
Good thing he got the message and never tried again.
PLESE NOTE: I have tried to reel in a SS Silverado with a supercharger and full exhaust, and God knows what else. I was blown away.
1 I was behind him at a redl light
2) AWD and supercharger (didn't know he was boosted)
3) I took too long to react (like 3 seconds) I was not sure to go or not
4) did I say V8, AWD and supercharged... man that was fast
I was able to get some lenghts back but I was stock down to the filters.
I'm pretty sure now, that truck would still beat me off the line, but I would able to put up a much better fight, if we would take off at the same time. Also after 100+ trucks are way to heavy and drag is their doom.

Nice Kill...You know that ruined his day. He probably went home and kicked his dog and drowned his sorrow with a Keystone.
