i think it was a kill
Today coming home I lined up next to a E36 M3 Sedan with an auto. I was minding my own business talking on phone when the guy revved at me. I told the person on the phone I would call them back. I waited for the green light and went. The place we raced was aprox 300yds, measures once before. At the end of the 300 yards it goes to one lane. I remember seeing his headlights in my side mirrors and about 8 feet of pavement infront of his car in my rearview. Not sure how the quarter mile would come out but I definatly had the advantage when the road merged. what HP did they have, if i remember its something like 230ish?

I think it was a M3. It had the logo's and the rims and body kit. It could have been a dressed up 323,325,328, but it sure sounded good. Either way I beat it.

was the mirror on that car the M mirror? and also, did you notice the twin pipe with really big muffler box hanging in the back?
it could even be a 318is. i remember that BMW had made the 318 coupe for a couple years (the coupe, not the ti).

Frank: Yeah when I pulled up i sazw the big muffler with twin tips on the left side. Yes it was the Mirror. I had to do some looking on web to see what M mirror looked like but yes it was. If it wasn't a real M3, that guy put enough $$$ into it to be able to get a real one. I think i saw something with a M logo on steering wheel too.

either way. it's a good kill.
yeah, the extend people will go to make their 318/323/325/328 to look like the E36 M3.

Or, it could be a regular 3 series with the M-Teknic (sp?) kit...which was basically a bodykit that is exactly the same as the M3 but the car itself wasn't...remember it was offered back in 1994-95?

Congrats Timmyc230boy, it is a kill regardless of fake badging. If he badged his car as M3 he deserves his a$$ killed, and if it was a real M3 he still deserves it and gives you more credit.
