I take the I-5 from LA to San Diego (and vice versa) on the weekends. It's usually a very boring and uneventful 2 hour drive. And most times there's quite a bit of traffic. Last night I made it back in 1hr 15min. I was averaging maybe 95-100mph.

During relatively heavy traffic, there was a silver IS300 and black Mustang that weaved around people quite dangerously. Like cutting people off and what not. Pretty crazy stuff IMO. I lost site of them after awhile. In the meantime, I was getting around people safely when I could. After about 10min or so, traffic cleared a bit so I picked up speed.

I was just "cruising" and enjoying my music when I passed the black Mustang (I believe it was a normal one...probably '98) I saw a little while back (the IS300 must have exited or something). Just as I passed him, he accerlerated and came whizzing passed me. I guess he wanted to pick a fight lol. Traffic had been heavy as usual throughout the night, but this stretch of freeway was fairly light. After he had passed me, I kept pace behind him at around 100mph. To my good fortune, after maybe 1-2 min of following him, there was a pretty clear stretch of road with maybe 2-3 cars in visible view ahead of me. I thought to myself, I wonder if this guy has any mods. Only one way to find out. I punched it at 100mph...105, 110. Passed him up. 115....120...I have 4-5 car lengths on him...125, 130...passing him up real fast...135...140...He's completely gone. I shut it down just as a clump of cars came in view. Slowed down to around 80-85mph. It took him roughly 15sec to finally catch up. Wanted to give him the thumbs up but he just weaved around traffic really fast and zoomed passed me. I could never catch up because the freeway became more congested aftewards and he was doing some manuevers around cars that were pretty dangerous. I guess he was pretty pissed :p. He later changed freeways and that was that. Pretty fun drive overall .
