'95 S500 '93 500 SEL
1995 S500 vs. 1993 MR2
My friend recently purchased a right hand drive JDM spec. 1993 MR2. It very nimble fun car to drive! We both though it would be very interesting to compair these 2 vastly differnt cars on the street!
to tell you the truth i never though i had a chance... 200hp in a car that weighs almost 1/3'rd what my S500 does but i though why not give it a chance...... :
From a redlight the MR2 gets a very grippy launch, and im already down about half a car i thought it was already over......
THEN THE V8 COMES TO LIFE!! at about 80-90 were nose to nose! i keep my foot planted and after 110 im pulling hard on him..120..130.....140 and im about 2 car lenghts in front still pulling hard.. the torque comes on strong after 4500 in the S500 i love it!! that car is deffinitly made from highway crusing!

I'm surprised the MR2 still runs. It's turbocharged, and can be easily boosted to give it a extra kick. It has an ideal mid engine configuration, but I've read many articles in the past that the handling can be tricky at the limit.
