Well this story i felt it had to be told, since this doesnt happen very often. But anyway i was coming home on i95n cruising in fast lane doing about 70mph. When all of a sudden some car is riding my bumper so i said whatever, and got into the middle lane. Come to find out its an modified evo so if he want a taste of euro power i was goin to give it to him. So i immediately got behind him waiting to see if he would go, then i hear him floor from the fast to the slow lane, and i was right behind at about 100 mph. Then by that time he knew i wanted to go,so then cut back over to the fast lane again (stuck in traffic at about 9:00 at nite). Anway i knew if he found an opening before i did, i knew i would lose, so i timed it right and waited till this car from the middle lane gets over, and i dropped down to 4th gear and gunned into the slow lane, and he's right on my tale at about 105mph then i saw an opening in the fast lane, and swerved as best as i could to get over there missing a truck by inches. An the evo was tryin to do the same by the he was in the fast lane flooring i was gunned to about 125mph and i see him come from behind about 4 car lengths later. So then i put my blinker on and get over into the middle lane to give him a thumbs up you know what he does, a ricer flyby because i guess he got embarassed. But i lost interest after that and jus chilled, because i got what i wanted. However that night he got his behind handed to him. Because i figured an evo should be able to keep up with me right? But in this case this evo driver couldn't handle a benz. So you see sometimes it isnt always about the horsepower its about the driver behind the wheel that counts, because anybody can lose on anyday which is true.

a C240? What do you have done to your car? Maybe a Kleeman stage XXVI? Either that or you're taking some seriously messed up drugs. I believe the C240 is about the slowest car MB makes (I know cause they give it to me as a rental almost every damn time I take the car in.)
And a modded Evo V8 is one of the top ten fastest cars you can buy for under 50K. Go sell crazy some place else dude, we're all stocked up here.

Look i didnt come here to waste anyones time on this. And the ones who said its no way that happened, just ask yourself who was there, not you right? I feel that people sometimes limit themselves on what they can do that's why you'll never accomplish anything. Yes off course i've heard the c240 is this and that, but when you set aside the doubts about something and challenge the situation and prove someone wrong. I was at a red light (with my pitbull & shepherd by my side), then I look over to the left and this nice Charger SRT8 pulls up (nice rumble from the exhaust)--
I give him a nod and when the light turns green--I step into the cross walk with my dogs as he gives me the right-of-way before turning right...that's right baby--I beat him into the intersection!!! A 'kill' on feet with 2 dogs!!!

 

I was on an intersection lined up with a Viper SRT 10 and Z06. Man, when the light turned green I beat them by 2 steps!

As I told c240boy, you really need to be careful out there. You can't go walking around all crazy and ****. You mention nothing about looking both ways at all. For all you know Cylinder Head could be cruising along on his 16 speed and take you out.

 

Great story.but it sound like you were wired up and looking to goof around and race anybody you could find and this guy had a long day at work and just wanted to get home to have a cocktail and chill.my wife had a c230 in the past,and i have to say it is one of the slowest cars i have ever driven.my little cousin spanked me in that car in his 2001 VW 4door Golf 1.8T.By the way, there is an EVO specialty performance shop in my area so i went there one day to research these cars and how to mod them. for $3500 ,they make 360whp. Drive safe and watch out for unmarked troopers on the turnpike.

 

EVO body kits are very popular with those who drive "regular" Mitsu Lancers - from the outside they'er all but indistinguishable. What's under the hood is a whole other matter of course.

 

The base model Lancer runs mid 15's. The 240 will still lose to it.

i was drivin 95mph on the freeway and passed up 4 black cars 3 evos and one Acura rsx. all of them tried to pass me up we were going like 120 for like 15 seconds. it was me first then the 2 door Acura Rsx and the 3 evos behind it. The Acura had 4 people in it and we got close to the cars infront of us and they started going around the cars and passed me up i was keeping up with them but then it got too scary cuz those kids were too crazy.

The funniest part was the WTF face on everybody in the Acura(two girls and two guys) when they passed me up slowly they did not expect a mercedes to go over 120 but i let them pass me cuz i slowed down. After the Acura passed me up the 3 Evos passed up the Acura and me. I guess they were just watchin the slowest car from their crew try to pass me up and watch the mercedes crash
