00 Acura Integra vs. 89 300E
Well, the part I results are in...
I raced the Integra, but his Turbo wasn't installed yet.
Either way here's the story (Don't scroll down till you read it!)
We started at a light, it was a 0-60 test. The light turns green we floor it. He passes me like I don't even exist. I redline in 1st and I switch to second. The car almost got a little "boost'' in that gear change and I began to catch up with him fast. It almost looked like he quit as I reached 4k RPM. As I was approaching the red area on my tach at 55MPH we were even and when I hit 60, I was out front, barely, but I was.
So an 89 300E with 300k miles beat the stock Integra (except it has a new intake and exhaust system, but no turbo yet). I was quite surprised. I was running 100 something octane though and I took all the crap out of my trunk and told him we could have a friendly little race and I acted like I made no preparations. I oughtta use 100+ octane all the time
!
I might race him again with the turbo, but I'll lose. And, my car is getting tired. It might need a tranny job soon

Yea, thats all a big 10-4. I think his intake system was screwed up because he was getting ready for an installation of his turbo. He probably would have beaten me in normal circumstances.
You won't believe this. Another one of my friends (with an Acura Integra as well) got his turbo installed last week. Before another week passes, his car gets totaled. Not from a speed accident, someone clipped him when he made a left turn on a yellow (they went through it). Poor kid. Just got everything finished! I feel bad! I heard about his car, though. It was quite fast. I would've had no chance. A even peppier integra. Eek!
