E55 vs Cobra

Ok, I don't get to post many kill stories. East of Dallas isn't exactly drag race central. Very very rarely do I get to make a run. In fact this is only the 3rd in the last year. Pontiac GTO 6.0, Evo IX MR, and now a Cobra. All were easy wins.

Long story short I passed an older Cobra on the way home the other day. At the next light he pulls up next to me. I wasn't sure if he was going to go or not and didn't want to look like a tool if he didn't, light turns green and I roll forward slowly. He guns it, gets a jump to where his rear bumper is about even with my front. I floor it, esp goes nuts. Once traction sets in it's quickly over and I leave him behind. I thought I would get the ricer fly by, but he stays way back from me. At the next light he pulls up next to me and gives me the finger, but doesn't want to go again.

I also meant to add I had an almost race with a red GTO 6.0 last month while I was in my SLK. We were at a light next to each other but there were 2 cars in front of each of us. He decided to rev his engine to show how OMG-cool he was. Just one little catch, he must not have remembered he was still in gear and promply rearended the car in front of him.

Does he get credit for the kill or do I in that case?

You got what is referred to by the videogame Burnout as a Psych-Out kill. You played him mentally and he made a bad mistake. Wow I can't believe you never posted that its hilarious. GTO drivers are THE WORST. They think the 'vette engine gives them God's Feet, too bad that engine is strapped into a chassis made out of Laffy Taffy.

It was very funny at the time to an extent. Sad the lady got hit due to this tool. I and 2 others stayed as witnesses when the police showed up to get thier accident report. He tried to blame the lady in the accord for moving to make a right on red turn but then slamming on her brakes causing the accident which was ridiculous as there was another car in front of her and she never moved the whole time. Fortunatly we stayed to make sure this fool beared the responsibility for his actions. After 2 hours of back and forth it got kind of annoying and I forgot about it until I remembered the short run with a silver GTO I mentioned earlier.
