Mitsu. Eclipse Spyder GTS
Not exactly a fair race, but the kid had it coming to him. I was doing my usual morning 80mph cruise to work in my SLK320 and was on the telephone to my girlfriend (headset; yeah, I'm responsible!) this Spyder crawled up on my left. I wasn't particularly in the mood to make a kill, but the kid matched speed and kept looking over to me with a "Let's see what your fancy little Merc can do" look. His little girlfriend was sat next to him and gave me a resigned "just entertain him" look.
So, I decided to let him have his fun and, because there was a car in front of me, I signalled for him to move ahead and I pulled in behind him. He gunned his motor and I responded by dropping to 3rd, grabbing some torque, and quickly shifting to 4th. Once glued to his tail, I shifted to 5th and held it for a mile or so, and then when I figured it was time to make my kill, I dropped to 4th, pulled into the center lane, and just cruised on by. The look on his face was priceless as I winked farewell to his girlfriend.
