Speed Thrills

I know the F360 can get handled by yer stock vette but it was just funny how my girlfriend happened to be driving to get my 2nd kill (or is it hers).

I have had my 65 for two weeks now and funny how I cant come across a worthy opponent to save my life. After the first week I woulda wasted rubber on a Prius that reved his battery the wrong way. Of course when I'm in the Avalanche I come across exotics left and right.

#1 So last Friday I was headed home and just about to turn on to my street when I spot a black 6 series going the other way. Standard procedure, I stop and identify by catching a shot of the rear and bingo, an M6. I had to shoot up to the next light, flip it and then catch up to him. I do a standard fly by and zip back in front of him. I have found 9 outa 10 times this gets it going right away but on this guy nothing. I slow down, let him pass and do another and still nothing. Now we are coming up the the fwy so I check my rear view to see if he's merging to get on and he does. Determined to get this guy to use what he has I get on too. No way he's gonna hold back on my fwy antics. Sure enough after one more flyby he catches on and we are playing follow the leader for a few miles until we get a clear shot. I see him pulling up along the side of me and wait for him to pull the trigger. He hits it hard and gets his rear bumper just to my front bumper when I unleash hell. I launch ahead so fast I have to change lanes to avoid a car coming up in my lane. Now I am in his lane about 6 car lengths ahead of him and still pulling like a champ. He tried one more time before I had to get off as I was 10 miles from home now. I gave a thumbs up to him as I exited.

#2 On Sunday I was coming back from dinner with my girlfriend and she convinced me to let her drive. She has caught the fever from me so she is looking left and right for someone to race as am I. Instead of the fwy we took some great side streets that are pretty open in general. We are a few miles from home when a yellow 360 spider appears coming the other way and it's really on it and was loud as it passed. Right away we were on it and I told my girlfriend to flip one at the light. Luckily it was green and we flipped around and when she punched it to catch up we saw the 360 on the other side again as they must have done the same thing! We found a break in the median and flipped it again. I gave a "go get him baby" and she shot right up to the 360 with ease and they were already on it. I glance over and it's two young guys obviously not having a clue what they were in for but seemed to like the fact my girl was driving. So they give it all they had and I give the "punch it baby" and they looked like a baby bumble bee in the rear view in seconds. Good times.

Nice write up. 65s are as quick as it gets in good conditions on the street. Impressed your girl can drive a bit. I remember back in 2002 when my mother got her C32 she became a total bully on the roads too

One of our stage 3 S4's took out a F360 CS, they're not that quick only do like 12.2 1/4 mile. While a plain modena is even slower.

Driving a SL65 must be about as good as it gets...with your pants on.

12.2 is pretty quick for a stock car...
I know stock SL65s are around the high 11 second range.

Looks like you guys had plenty of fun. Lucky you have a girlfriend who can drive. My ex gf used to get turned on by the fact that I would race...shoulda kept her lol

To keep up with a modded 997S and C6 with 345 rear rubber I'm gonna be praying for rain. Counting down the days until the stealer will let me put my deposit down on the RS6.

Actually if you listen to the vid they give the trap times. E55 12.9 and 360 15.4. I'd say the 360 got crushed.

I know I heard that too but it's impossible you can see there barely a car length apart, must've meant 13.xxx something NO Way they were seperated buy 2 and a half seconds, you realize every tenth or .01 in a race is roughly a car length, watch it again you can see them clearly to the end thru the Time trees or whatever there called, (1) length at best (also no way it's beating the E63 by 2.5 seconds in the 1/4 either as per the other nearly even race w/E63 in florida that I posted)

Forget what the video guy said he's not the official tower guy, it doesn't make sense... that would be a beating of nearly 25 car lengths It would be more believable if it was 13.xx something, tell me you can't see how close they appear thru the entire run
