Either way, ur AMG wheels are still heavy. I had the same 2-pce AMG IV wheels on my e55 and they weighed a ton.

PS Some guys have gotten these cars to run 13's modded so they do have potential and I don't think they are as slow as you guys are saying.

Advan your car is a C320 coupe? If so then good kill and believeable especially if the G35 was stck. Modded I think they'll give problems ask JonC36 AMG,he has a 350Z. As a matter of fact you guys should run each other either in his C36 or his 350Z.
This also means you have to run my BMW E36 M3 now. The Blue one not the Black one that is
All in good fun.

High 13s are a really good time for stock 350z. Actaully its quite amazing. I'm assuming you have the 6-speed and you are a great driver. Even with my S/C, the G35 was only running low 13s.

People who think the G35 coupes & 350z's sound nice need to get the wax removed from their ears. Those things sounds like ***... 2.3K isn't the pinnacle of engine notes either, but it at least it ain't sound like no G35.

High to mid 13's is what they run all day with a competent driver. From what I was told by a friend who is knowledgable on MB, the c320 makes 215 hp stock crank) versus 297 hp (using the oldest model for arguement sake). So lets assume you gained 10 hp from your mods (very generous w/o a tune). Thats makes you putting down around 197 hp at the wheels? I think this is another case of the one man race. Just because someone gets on there car a little doesn't mean he is "racing". Im sorry a sub 200hp car wont outrun a 260ish hp car (talking wheel hp not crank).

I ran a 13.8@103 with a JWT Pop Charger (basically an open element filter with venturi ring) with a 2.1 60' (decent) if that counts for anything.
Most of the Z's I've seen around here hit 13s on the track on a good night. G35s run lower to mid 14s IIRC because of the weight difference.

As for the NEW G35, I was reading the JULY2008 edition of Car and Driver, and they introduced the new 330hp G37 Coupe, they increased 24hp, making it 330hp, and 0-60 is 0.1 second SLOWER than the previous G35 sedan they had tested back in october 06. isnt that weird?
I know those new G35s are pretty fast, I've had one tail me and I wasnt able to loose him!

My 350z with exhaust doesnt sound smooth as my c36s I6. Even stock. But it has better topend. When I was on the highway this c230 tried to stay with me. Unfortunately he didnt have enough juice. This was when there was no traffic. c230 the slowest Benz with a blower. How pathethic.

. In the Merecedes family of my cars, I have an '06 E350 4-Matic. In the Nissan family of my cars I have an '04 Armada LE and an '07 G35x. I would like to say that out of all my cars (listed above and I have a '05 BMW X5 3.0i) the G35 is the most fun and most powerful to drive. I have no idea why most of the people are so biased here and saying that the G's exhaust sound is horrible, painful, etc. you got to be kidding me. I do love my Mercedes, but Japanese cars have showed me wonderful quality when it comes to engines. However, German cars have showed me wonderful quality when it comes to refinement and interiors.

Edit: I stand corrected. They claim a 275+ on some pages, and 280+ on others. So lets just say 275 to be real (every auto company is optomistic we all know). The MB in question makes much much less power stock for stock (215 hp?). I have never seen a car with an airbox and basic exaust (i woldn't even bother factoring in pulleys) pick up more than 5 REAL hp. I'm sure there are claims of 20+, but in the real world, it just doesn't happen unless under an FI application.

I have a friend that has a g35, drove it many times, I actually like the exhaust. and it is a fun car to drive. I used to be into "rice rockets" before I had the means to afford german, but they are fun cars to drive. Part of the appeal is the fact that when you are going 70-80, it feels like you are going 90-100, so it gives you a rush. In some of the mercs I have driven(the faster ones), going 100 doesnt seem so fast.
