e36-M vs c32
On the way home around 10:15 pm, heading 380 south towards San Mateo area Here iam at a red light, all of sudden a Silver E36-M pulls next to me REVing his engine
i'm tired, but since i'm here lets have some fun. Light turns green, He lightly launchs, i'm playing catch up
road is clear i gun for it ! i passed the M around 40MPH took it up to 120ish, the older M is about few bus length back
? here i thought this M might be moded reving at me
* i dont conisder this as a Kill * since the older e36m's are weaker compare to our 32's, heck he pick the wrong fight.

That is true. Buddy had 99 5 speed manual m3. He got wasted by w202 C280 in the beginning. Then he practiced and mastered shifting and what a difference. M3's are like hondas you gotta know how to drive it. Good kill nonetheless. C32's are probably faster anyway.

Considering that c32's are on par with E46 m3's I'd say they're probably faster than E36's as well.

No doubt, a stock E36 wouldn't stand a chance. C32 AMG is one impressive car. What year did they start making C32 AMG's? The E46 is more in it's league, since E36 M3's are cars of the 90's, were there any c32 AMG's made then?. That would be a closer match up I'd imagine. I think each cars specs would be closer. I see a supercharger in my future, only then would I challenge a c32 AMG to a dual![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

So the c43 and c36 were made in the 90's?. I just think it's crazy to think a car made in the 90's would be able to take a car made in 2000-07. When a 2000 and up AMG takes on an e36M the outcome should always be AMG. The same would be true if a 2000 and up e46M took on any AMG made in the 90's. (They were made then tight?) not trying to be funny, I just am not sure. One would expect that these cars would have better performance with each new model.

Not sure exactly when but c36's were made in mid 90's and c43 replaced c36 in the late 90's. C36 had a v6 and C43 had a v8 but performance was nearly identical. I've seen c36 going against e36 M and it was a close race.

Hey man, I was uninformed as to what models were made in what years. I see it as apples and oranges. Apples are cars made in the 90's, they would be competetive against each other. Oranges (cars made 2000 and up) would be competitive with each other. To put an apple against an orange would be an unfair situation, the orange should win everytime(assuming both cars are stock). Thanks for answering my questions.![Thankyou](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thankyou.gif)

the apple asked the orange for a race so he got what he got.......if the m3 had won you wouldn't be saying it was unfair.....whats the criteria for a fair race....same year, same $$$, same car??? Run what you brung or whatever the saying is
