The European/Japanese model looks good, the NA model looks horrid.

Anyone know why there's 2 different Accords?

Us Americans are too overweight to fit in the Euro/ Jap versions. There is not enough room to seat our big fat ***.

Man...imagine rolling into a grand hotel driveway...

i'd do it the CLK, i mean, that car just fricken looks good. 320, 430, 55, doesn't matter, the chassis and style of the car just looks niiiicccccce.

the new accord coupe is nice in spec but i simply dont like the look. its a great far cry from previous accord (even the last coupe) again in spec. CLK look classy and that timeless look to it....and yes you're paying for the MB name plate. I've said it before and will say it again....you'll get more attention in a $25k+ C230 coupe/hatchback then in an $27k+ accord coupe....trust me.

Just went to Penske the other day and saw a CLK500 with sport package, which looks exactly like the CLK55. The car looks so...nice. The brochures don't do it justice. The car looks well balanced with the power to match it. Motor Trend reports it of running 13.99 sec to the quarter. No Accord in the world can touch any CLKs; not even the older model CLK and definely not the new. The Accord looks so average. Does is look better than the G35 sedan or the TL Type S? I don't think so.

Guys enough with the *****in. Listen I bought my first new car and it is a 2003 C230K. Granted it aint the fastest car at that price. Hell I nearly bought a '97 Boxster for the same amount. Much faster and Handles like a dream. Back to the point. It all makes a diffrence, when someone asks me which car is yours and all I have to say is MERCEDES. Jaws drop and girls' ears rise to attention. Or how about just laying that disctinctive key with the nice 3 pointed star on the table at a meeting. As opposed to an everyday key.

Mercedes is Style, name, luxury and stability. It is a smart decision car, a good investment and best of all I love the 3 pointed star staring me in the face on my steering wheel. Mercedes is a legacy that many car makers wish they had. The engineering is is amazing. What more can I ask for in a car, unless I am trying to make racing a living I don't need the fastest car on the block. At least not right this minute. Maybe my next car will be 1997 Porsche Turbo S. Then I will talk **** to everyone and have bragging rights.

Just my $0.02.

when i buy an MB, i'd like to pay for more than just the engine. i pay for the whole car, not just from the front bumper to the windshield. it's pretty pathetic if someone buys an MB to drag race. that's not what they're built for.

does anyone here actually know what goes on underneath the skin of an MB. and i'm not talking about the engine. has anyone here heard of CAN (Controller Area Network). this is just one example of the cutting edge technology that MB has been putting in their cars (starting with the S-class) for years that all other Japanese and American auto makers are just now starting to use.

when you buy an MB, you don't pay for just what's under the hood but that's the first thing people ask when you say you bought a new car, what engine does it have. i'm pretty sure MB is a LUXURY line. you wanna spend alot of money on a car that will kicks an Accord's ***, buy a porsche.

this whole thing is so freakin stupid. when you compare two cars overall (especially when talking price), you'd better talk about more than just the *** engines. if you wanna talk 0-60 and all that, then yes talk engines. but to say that an accord compares to an MB, that's ridiculous. if MB wanted to build a S***Y car with a big, loud, powerful engine (cough cough, rustang), then it would be nice and cheap like everything else on the road, but boy would it be fast, at least in a straight line.

fortunately, MB does makes cars that do go VERY fast. and fortunately, the rest of the car is high quality too. but you have to pay for this. you go buy your powerful engine, i'd like to buy a car.

I think he is.

Typical ricer mentality. Picture him driving the king ricer with all 70K laid out...sitting at a red light. The car has about a half inch of ground clearance and rubs when he shifts. Each sh*tpipe is large enough to roll a canteloupe inside and have it roll back out and the thing sounds like it has no muffler. Honda spends hundreds of millions over the last 50 years to make the cars quiet, and these stupid ricer boys pay big bucks to have the car make noise - since they are slow.

You can probably only see the top of his lil square head...stickers all over the car along with fake giant "type R" lettering and some asian stickers for effect- "yo dats my gang affiliation". Pretty blue and red gauges on the A pillar.

When you wreck your 70K civic from driving like an as*hole ricer boy, guess what the insurance co is gonna give you - if you even have insurance - thats right, book value for a civic. There's a reason fools like that can't afford MBs. Better you spend your money doing mods for a ricer than ever buying a real car anyway.

I believe it was MotorTrend or Automobile Magazine. Probably because both cars look amazingly similar.

It was Automobile. Alot of their stuff lately has been stupid, and their road tests arent half as good as C&D or R&T. I think I will not renew my subscription.

[QUOTE=JJunkins] You need to take a break.

You don't understand, again. Taylor, I do not like Hondas but after my experience with Mercedes I am beginning to think somethings wrong. I do like Honda commercial self-propelled lawn mowers. My stuff makes perfect sense. For $70K I would rather take the Honda over the CLK55, even though I do not like them but its worth it after all the fun wrench-time and testing and buying $30,000 of cool aftermarket crap. Wouldn't you do that?
[QUOTE]

"Fun Wrench-time?" - Hold my drink, B!tch!

You're a fool to invest $30,000 into a Front-Wheel Drive, rubber-band tranny, aluminum coke-can car like the Accord. Do yourself a favor, keep the accord STOCK and save the $30,000. Had you put that $30,000 at the time you wrote this 2 years ago and bought a house, especially here in So Cal, you would have had a 300% return on that $30K.

Second, in regards to quality, note that MLs are made in Alabama. The quality is less than those mercedes built in Germany.

Smile A CLk320 owner

I am driving a 2003 CLK320. What am i thinking???

- CLK is much higher class, it's for showing off your ability.
- Accord? Is another affortable coupe for anyone.

- CLK gets look on the street.
- Accord? Just an ordinary coupe on the road, no one cares.

- Girls love CLK because of BENZ, people look at them when all windows are rolled down.
- Girls hate Accord. Why? because no one look at them, no attention.

- CLK makes you feel good on the road, different from anyone.
- Accord? It is boring to drive, no looks, no class, nothing at all.

-BENZ is for upper class people in the country $$$
-Honda? is for normal and lower class people in the country

The CLK picks up girls/women much faster than the Accord
=
Which means more time to spend on the bed to enjoy the woman

By the time when you are still waiting with your 23K coupe, we are already on OUR way to the 5th round and closer to the victory of the night!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You know what i am say

P.S Kids with Accord coupe? The 240hp is noting, you should put a big turbo to gain back the time you have lost, this is what the aftermarket parts for.

Wasn't the 2000 ML320 built in America, along with the C320K Coupe?

are u absolutly nuts Jjunkins?!!! compare the class of a MB to a honda. U can't because honda doesn't have **** on MB. Sure they are cheap and can go fast with some tune ups but then again ur driving a honda. and at higher speeds german cars will forever beats japanese cars. More reliable in the driving aspect and sturdy/firmly built to drive in any condition. not to mention all hondas are FWD except the s2000 which takes the fun out of a car. no real power slides or drifts
