I will start with the Caddy. I was headed to the store for my wife leaving our subdivision when the CTS in front of me with a custom four-pipe ebay exhaust takes off aggressively. We came to the approaching two-lane section and stopped at a light. He starts reving the car, and it rolled back slightly giving away it a stick. Light turns green and surprisingly my lowly 228 hp C300 gets a jump and pulls an instant 1/2 car lead and pulling. I shut it down at about 68-70 as we were on a desolate subdivision road so to speak. We got to the next light and he wanted to go again, same results I'm still baffled I was able to pull this off in the C300. I also was using the manual mode on my car when I found out he was a stick.

Today headed home a guy who lives around the corner that is always speeding down our street catches me about 1-2 miles from the house, same subdivision . He is in a what my best judgment tells me is a 1997 Acura CL 3.0 and want to go. I didn't know it was a race at first as those cars are typically owned by older guys, single non enthusiast. At anyrate as soon as I noticed him jet off, I switch over to manual mode and punch it. It took a couple seconds but by about 60 I had pulled even with him and got more than a car on him shutting down around 80-85ish. We come to the next light and he want to do it again, light changes this time with a good even start, it's no contest I pull an instant 1/2 car lead and pulled a car and kept him there then shut it down. I was really optimistic as the new W204 C300 is not a fast car by any means and somewhat underpowered in it's segment and thought both the CL & CTS would have handed it to me. YTD I've also taken out a 2007 V8 Explorer that tried to out merge me.
