short video of My CLK55 Vs my 300CSRT8
Here we go:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kBtTId2fPPE
The SRT8 pulls stronger trough the 1st gear,as soon we shifted 2nd i was gaining and by 3rd i was pulling....
I still love my SRT8,it's beast!
The SRT has the AFE stage II intake and cat back, the CLK has Green Filters, custom Cat Back Exhausts.

Not to flame you, but WHY ARE YOU RACING ON RESIDENTIAL STREETS!!!?
Are you nuts? You could very easily kill someone...even a child if they ran into the streets. And don't say it was clear or it was late at night, no acceptable excuses. Street racing in residential neighborhoods is plain STUPID, don't care where you live. Take it to the track.

Sometimes we do things we should not.
The first part of the video, was in a Business district at 11 pm.
But i agree with you.
Take it to the Track is what it should be.
I'm glad there's people like you to Balance things out.

E55 AMG + Mustang GT
Good kill. I never lost to one at the track, you're right at the beginning they stay with you, but once you hit 2nd-3rd gear the CLK55 starts to pull hard.

Yes it is amazing to see how different these two Cars are geared.
But still,i insist that the SRT8 is one of the best bang for the buck out there.

Charger SRT-8
Nice cars. Looked like the SRT8 let off right after hitting 3rd as well? Doesn't come into the powerband until 90+mph.
Questions: Was ESP fully off? Was the SRT8 shifting manually?
Be sure to get the Diablo tuner for it - I guarantee an entirely different outcome....

The Tuner would be a good adition,i was thinkin about it.
Yes the SRT8 is fast at high speeds, however the weight and 0 aerodynamics design does not really help.
The CLK55 just feels faster at higher speeds.
The 300CSRT feels very soft, unsafe when driving higher speeds.
Still love the Car!!!

The 300SRT8 is definitely softer than the Charger - about 25% and I noticed more body roll around turn 3 and a lot of jounce coming out of turn 6 at Laguna Seca.

I like it and it was the smartest route for Chrysler, but not the best route.
It's way too heavy (it's very large), sprung like the 300SRT8 but worse weight distribution, looks great, but automatic only until the '09s.
It won't be in any racing series, but it looks good, it's fast and it's a money maker for them. S/b a interesting competitor to the Camaro (which will probably be pretty heavy too) and much nicer than the Mustang.
A thumbs up overall.
