05' SL600 vs 07' 335i pt. 2 + CL63 side race

Well Mario & I raced in mexico again, 1st race from about 20mph thru about 100mph SL600 pulled him by about 3/4 of a length then we shut down (surface streets)

Highway 2 lane from about 50-125mph as close to dead even as you can get!! we repeated 3-4 times it was excellent fun! I think Mario will agree @ triple digit speed I SLOWLY started to walk him..

My SL600 was notably quicker after repairs, I lost traction on all our runs for a micro moment, Mario's 335i had same listed J3 software plus mods and Torco (race gas) my SL was BONE stock except for cat-back straight pipes, I didn't use ANY RACE GAS AT ALL...

I'm sure if Mario didn't use race gas he might lose by a length or so, as we both agreed it's worth 15-20 rwhp on a Turbo car...Mario's 335i is NO JOKE!!

Now for the insane ending to a great day!! Driving home I look up in the rearview mirror what do I see about 10-12 cars back? A brand new CL class w/xenons on (silver) racing an older BMW 3 series I jump into the slow lane and lie in wait the traffic opens I see the CL flying up @ full throttle I jump back into the fast lane (traffic)

He gets along side (were dead even) I see the 6.3 AMG badging tinted windows, guy in white colar shirt, bluetooth & ****e eating grin (traffic was crowded but I'm not letting this go)

Slow lane opens I get in front of the CL63 (it was the only way we could race, he's all over my bumper I hit it! and easily walk him by 5+ lengths he tried once more but couldn't keep up to save his life (we ran from about 70-120ish) lol at least I did

After that the CL63 hung way back & the 3 series bmw wanted to play, I just thrashed him until it was pointless, though as soon as I hit brakes and started calling Mario & Nick lassiter, screaming my lungs out on what just happened the 3 series pulls the ricer fly-bye

O.K. doubters doubt on, I'm asking Nick to meet up next week to run my SL vs his stk M5, also any SL55/SL600/E55's doubt or want to run in the LA area I'm more than happy to oblidge, Mario is even offering a $200 bet to run his 335i winner takes $200

Damn what a fun day in Mexico lol....

That's more like it, I watched the original post closely, I am glad the repairs got you back to where that car should be.

I guess the 1000 pound advantage he has nullifies your extra 200-300 pounds of torque...

Just go get the Kleeman ECU tune bro. ^^

The SO CALLED STOCK 2004 SL600 from C&D was later found out to be renntech or kleem ECU modded NO Stock 2004 SL600 traps 120mph that is stock SL65 territory

I said it before, some guy on this board in stock trim ran a 11.9xx but trap was more like 115-117 not 120+ w/ECU they are capable of low-low 11's all day long @ 122-125+

Ya just think you are stock and running a modded 335 and you edge it out in the 1st run. Upgrade your ECU/TCU and you will walk more.

Did the bimmer site get updated on the race after your repairs?

Marios car must be a quick one

I would think the race gas means more than 15-20rwhp since it also requires higher boost.

Nice kill. Also the fastest 335is are supposedly at 116-118mph trap speeds.

116.xxx

but it was only done with Race gas trim and few other mods. and only about a handful of cars have reached those traps. Maybe 3 or 4 if that.

117 and 118 ... I don't recall being reached.

nope.. yet to see the follow up.

this time it took longer than the first time they ran.. maybe cuz the outcome was very different.

The SL was able to edge out and hold its own.. being practically stock ( except for the resonator delete) against a tuned 335 with Race Gas Map

much different story than being beat by a few car lenths with a tuned 335i with 91octane mapping.

I kinda doubt the validity of this Dragtimes link, it has NO driver info or track info yet lists
Additional parts, modifications, upgrades & information:
(0-60, weight, upgrades parts, ect...)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

0-60 MPH: 4.31
0-100 MPH: 10.21
This is 1/4 mile tracks don't list 0-60mph this looks like some Fubar G-tech entry w/foiled vehicle weght info, NO way in all hell is that FAT PIG CL63 getting to 60mph in 4.31

It's very, very, heavy 4800lbs + w/out driver and only 465 Crank torque..

The SL edged out on the first run, but I got a head on the second run, the third run was dead even. I removed the race map setting from JB3. I'm running intake and tune.

Bro sorry but I don't remember you beating me by 3/4 of a length or at all, we did 4 runs the only time you passed me was when I totally lifted after I got a great launch & passed you, you kept goin and flew bye till you realized I wasn't racing

You never pulled me by 3/4 of a length like I did to you in the 1st race
The other 2 races were DEAD EVEN..

Next time no if's WERE VIDEOING

FWIW, those look like the Car and Driver test results (12.8/113).

I'm no expect on the DragTimes posting process but in other cases when no driver and track is listed I've been able to trace the results back to a magazine report.

After ECU it wont be a race bro, she's making the correct power the CL63 race proved that to me, also I'm lining up a stock M5 race & SL55 too, my bro Mario's joining as well
