Even if that was the case, the poster has changed from Small 2 Seater to a SL65. I'm sure anyone who is within that area can give it a test for them selves, so long as it stays in Mexico.

The SL65 could have had a faulty intercooler pump. That might explain the look of disgust on the face of the Benz driver. It is plausable.

The prices for GM performance parts are just silly cheap, too: $1799 for Stage 3 heads and $399 for a Stage 3 cam from Livernois Motorsports, for example.

FWIW....
I won't disagree with you, on the ability for the LS1 to make power and the tuners selling parts make it sound cheap and easy. The dyno'd results are not what you usually see running on the street with mufflers if it's smog legal so I factored that into my post. So we have a modified GTO beating a stock SL63.

The GTO is experienced at drag racing as he posted his times. My guess is the SL wasn't and had the ESP on which will slow the car significally when wheel spin is detected and the SL had no chance. Better driver with about the same power in a lighter car. Results believeable.

Tom
Or a Tuned SL600/65 they both run 124-125 traps, he must've ran the slowest R230 AMG out right now the SL63 as others have noted, their Crank Torque is 465 @ RWTO = 380 while weighing 4300 odd lbs, this kill will easily go to the GOAT...
