I got called out by a e90 M3 sedan 6 speed but he already admitted he will lose but wants to see how well he can do and I'm going to race him about 11pm tonight. I will have some good video footage with the night vision camera on it. We are going to do some rolls starting from where ever he thinks his car willl do best. My prediction from 40-120mph is 2.5 car lengths to 3. I was interested in leasing a E92 M3 coupe so I will get a good feel of what these things can do.

you should work the 6 speed pretty good but the DCT would give you a better race IMHO.

 

I was hoping it was going to have the DCT transmission but it's not. I will post the video's as soon as we get this race done.

 

if you get a good jump, my bet is 6-8 car lengths on him. be safe!

Doubt it happened....

 

I didn't race the E90 I was supposed to yet but I was debating wether to start a new thread or post here but I was in jersey all day yesterday and I was coming home at around 1130pm. I was cruising at 85/90 mph and I happen to see a white 3 series from far. I got up close and it was a brand new E92 M3 coupe with no plates on it yet. SO I of course slow down and I'm side by side with nothing but room in front of us and I notice it's a girl. I assumed right away that nothing is going to happen so I hit it and back up to 85/90mph and within SECONDS I see this M3 FLYING at 100+, so I hit it and now she basically flew by me but I caught up as she slowed down and NOW we were side by side doing around 50mph and I wait for her to floor it and she does, I floored it right after and I was WALKING IT HARD I got about 3 car lengths and I'm almost 100% I didn't go over 120mph. We gave each other a thumbs up and went seperate ways. If I wasn't married that would definetly be my kinda chick .

 

I also raced the older M3 with the 333hp engine yesterday w/tune, exhaust, intakes, supersprint according to him. He told me before we raced that he smoked a E55 by 4 car lengths and that he does 11'z in 1/4 mile. We lined them up but only got short runs in from about 30-80 mph and I EASILY pulled....m3 owner said his car was hopping and that the roads were wet so we will set up another run lol. I spent most of the day yesterday beating up M3'z loll

LOL she had very light tints and I did as well but I didn't put the window down because my wife was in the passenger seat with me lol.

 

and your wife let you race ? she is so cool ahahahah

AHAHAH oh yeah, When I met her she had a CTS 3.6L, she used to race me when I had my G35 coupe lol.

Too bad you didnt find out if she was running a 6 speed or DCT...

 

I have a well tuned M3 as well as a pretty well set up SL55 and the 55 is obviously the faster car overall. I think that it is a toss up in the corners. The M3 has some great feedback, but the SL55 has some great electronics and active suspension that really helps disguise its weight.
