E500 KILLED BY S2000
Last saturday In Northrige ca I pulled next to a silver S2000, we were driving next to each other and he was making his supercharger/turbo whine or blow off so I figured Okay this will be interesting Since stock S2000 cant keep up. We lined up, took off at the same time and I got a 1 car jump on him but by the time his gear was ready for a shift he was back next to me, his next gear gave him a 3 car gain on me and we both let off. We gave eachother the thumbs up and went our ways. Dont know what he had but it was pretty fast.

^+1-those are light to begin w/-if it was a turbo set up (most likley)-those get to the 350-400hp range pretty quick....in a light light car-squirly as hell sometimes tho

I am on and off of the S2K forum and those with a turbo or SC set up are putting down some serious numbers even with the stock pistons and bottom-end. Over 400 hp for some. There are a few that claim numbers in excess of 600 hp but are far more heavilly modded.
I have raced with SC'ed Miata before (closed course SCCA) and even with only something like 230-280 hp, that is a winning combo in such a light car. I watched one walk all over a C5 Z06 Vette one day, lol. I can only imagine what a similar set up in the more powerful S2K would run like.
