02-03 acura tl type s & wrx wagon < C55
I was coming home on a early friday night and had just got off the offramp, waiting for the light when I see a pair of HIDS coming up in my rear view really quick. A 2nd gen tl-s lines up next to me and I don't think anything of it. Just in case, I turn off my esp and wait for the light. The guy punches it at the light, and I get too ansy and smash the gas. Obviously I spin all the way through first gear and he gets about a car and a half length on me. I get traction in 2nd and by the end of second he's a at least 2 car lengths behind me lol. I can't imagine how many car lengths I would put on him if we took it up to 3rd-4th.
At the track, my very first run with the c55 I was lined up with a WRX wagon. Being distracted with the tree, I failed to realize I was in 2nd gear and took off in 2nd. I was wondering why the hell I felt so slow until I realized that I was still in second. The wrx took off and had about 3 car lengths on me when I finally got into first. After that, I just reeled him in and pulled off a crappy 14.5 starting in second lol. I think he got like a 14.8.
Later at the track I managed to run a 13.16 with crappy, crappy tires. My 60' is still 2.092 with heavy feathering throughout 1st gear.
