Vette killed my E55
The owner's son of the company where I work has a 2002 Vette (not the Z06) modified, he runs 12.4s (he also has an Impala SS that runs 12.2s on motor and low 11s on NOS). Today as I was headed for lunch I ran into him on the street, of course we had to race, we got a light and I told him, "OK there are no excuses" (since last time we race he was on a lane with a lot of dirt and just spun and lost to me, which of course I didn't count as a victory, besides I know I can't win if he gets traction).
At the green we both took off pretty much at the same time, until 35 mph we are next to each other and then he starts pulling on me, by 80-85 mph he is one car lenght ahead of me, and then we stopped racing. It was fun to lose this time, but he did agree I kept up pretty well.
Ohh well, you can't win them all
Also, let this be part of history so that people don't say we never post stories of our cars being killed.

2004 S 600
Can't wait to get sisde by side with a ZO6 when I get new 2004 S600 in August with Renntech upgrade which brings engine back to Maybach specs: 550 hp and 664 ft lb of torque!! My current 2001 S600 has stomped a few Vettes here in Atlanta....but never ran into a ZO6..yet....

We all get beat some time. I have raced a few c5's in my time, convertibles and automatic coupes I have had no trouble with (their faces are priceless), but a 5spd coupe, stock or modded should walk you up top, as I have been walked up top twice by stock manual c5's. Their drag coefficient really takes effect up top also.
