True story.....and why not, my minivan runs a 6.2 AMG V8

Redlight....2 lanes merge into 1. Driver of the 997C2 starts to rock back and forth impatiently for light to turn green. +500hp/+5000lbs vs 325hp/3200 lbs....pretty close in hp/lb

I feel sorry that I have to do this to a fellow Pcar having owned 911s for the past decade

Pull my paddles down to 1....yellow light...green....bam.....C2 has no chance especially in such a short distance. Guy in C2 tailgates me after that...probably wondering why what "R63" means and why there are 4 exhaust tips.

He doesn't try again at the next light

I love my R63....great as my family hauler, and what a sleeper when I am on my own.

That's what I would have said if I was the Porsche, then I would turn around and drive to the nearest MB dealership to see if they have any R63's in stock.

LOVE the fact that the R63 is THE sleeper.

I think the P car guy would know what AMG's are....and was this a "race" or was the guy impatient? I've sat at lights waiting to go and gun it too-but not to the extent that I'm racing someone along side me......
and AWD<RWD any day......

Most people, including P car guys, have no idea the R63 even exists...most people know about C63, E63, SL63 and even ML63, but with such low R63 numbers....nope...he had no idea...maybe he thought I was a poser lol

.....and he was racing to cut in front of me due to a car in his lane.....he shouldn't even have been on my right anyways...he revved pretty hard...We Porsche guys have all been there and done these kind of passes....just he wasn't successful against my R63

And to be honest, I don't think even my 997TT would be able to pull ahead of the R63 in such a short distance.

I am Porsche guy through and through...993, 996, 996TT, 997 4S and now 997TT...but you gotta respect the Mercedes 6.2 V8

Im a P car guy now (coming from a C55) and even with the # of forums out there-even in low #'s-AMG and 63 go hand in hand....
really? a 997 (even gen 1) TT should get the jump on an R63-Gen 2 tt def-3300#'s and 500/500 is a lot of power-with a fat rear tire....
I guess I've never tried to get the jump at a light just to change lanes (you should never change lanes in an intersection anyway.....)

I think the dued in the P-car definetly knew the mini-van was game. Who in the righ tmind would run a minivan unless you knew its got sumthing special underneath the hood. GOOD KILL LOLOL. Never ever have much on the R63 around here.
