Raced an older (around 2006 maybe) ML350 from a dead stop to the next traffic light really quickly.

Pulled around 2 car lengths before I shut it off at around 50 mph. He was definitely trying. Heard the engine roaring.

If so, this is a kill story so leave if it doesn't pertain to you. I make sure everything is safe and all runs are done in dry clear conditions with no cars around.
And my GL isn't 5600 lbs. It's more like 5200 lbs since it's actually bought with minimal options. It isn't anywhere near fully loaded. It's got the standard smallest rims. Only thing it has is a tow hitch which I never use.

I'm pretty sure that you've raced your cars before on streets and in "Mexico".

Because it's actually pretty quick believe it or not. I've barely beaten my friend's A4 2.0T 09 before and actually pulled on a Cayenne S (older model though).

What would you like me to do? Race my Altima 2.5S with a 4 speed auto and less than 200 hp? The only thing then I would be able to beat is a Prius.

Hey, I've bet you raced your X5 4.8i before. It isn't that much smaller than a GL class. No such thing as "huge ***" for me whenever I'm on the road. I just make sure that there's no passengers with me.

Well I couldn't go further than 50 mph past an upcoming light that was very close.

If on the highway, then I would go further.

I just cant imagine a big *** GL racing. I have dragged my X5 before, ran a 13.84 @ 100 but other than that no actually I haven't raced it on a public road.

Ever seen a Cadillac Escalade drag it? Well they have. Search youtube and you'll see how Cadillac stupidly compared the straightline performance of their Escalade versus a slug of a Mercedes C300.

Unfair isn't it? Stupid comparo but Caddy was attempting to bring some "cool points" to their big *** SUV.

By the way, if you ran 13.84 at 100 on your stock X5 4.8i, then you got a dragtimes record already.

Oh mine isnt stock. Stock, you're looking at high 14's to low 15's. Mine has a Dinan S3 ecu, milltek exhaust and a ram air.

For the price I got my GL450, I could've gotten an E55 AMG used easily and put more mods to beat you. Buuuuut I didn't.

Still, I don't mind having fun once in a while when I see people do that all the time in a bigger heavier Caddy Escalade...

I didn't get the GL to drag race d'oh. I got for it comfort, safety, and because it's a pretty big SUV. Either that I get stuck with a Caddy Escalade sooo.... yeah. Glittered Chevy Tahoe with Bling or a real Mercedes?

Look up the performance stats on a GL450. It's not as slow as everyone thinks. It's actually pretty decent considering it's a 7 seater and how much it weighs.

Another serious note: Cylinder Head, you are a ****ING bonehead. WHY would you downgrade from an E60 M5 to a W211 chassis E63 AMG????
Why??? Downgrade in performance but you gain...comfort? That what you're looking for? At least if you're looking for similar performance you should've gotten a W211 E55 AMG supercharged or the W212 E63 AMG with the 6.3 V8.
Yeeeaaaaaah. My dad a couple of years ago was also contemplating of switching from his rarely driven E60 M5 to a then new W211 E63 AMG. 1 test drive and then going back into his M5 and that was it. Big difference.
