STOCK!!!! Don't know anything about the C5..

 

Stock C5 Corvettes aren't really that fast as far I know. It's only the C6 Vettes especially the ones with the LS3 V8s that should be able to pull on you since you're stock. The LS3 V8 stock by itself in a lightweight Vette is FAST.

You can imagine how fast is 55K after few mods.....

This. The '07+ C6s' made some big jumps in power and speed over the previous years C6...and the last model years of the C5. I have no problem with the C5 and first year C6, but once the LS3 got dropped in I have to work for my food.

 

No offense man, but even an LS2 C6 Z51 6-speed will outrun a SRT6 crossfire, stock for stock and equivalent mod for mod.

From what I've seen, most SRT6's are low 13 sec cars stock. They dont run solid mid-high 12s like an LS2 does. Several people on the forums have even run low 12s in a stock LS2 C6.

OP, nice kill. Stock Non-Z06 C5's should be easy work for an E55 as seen in your vids. .

 

No argument here. It's just that I am not stock and I haven't run into a equivalent mod for mod LS2 C6. The ones I have run into were all stock C5, C5Z06, or LS2 C6.

..but again, no argument from me. Mod for mod, a V8 will be a V6 every time. No replacement for displacement.

 

haha...i see you are in Houston. Im down here too now (moved here 1.5 yrs ago). I haven't had a good run in awhile. If you want to get some runs in sometime, let me know. All i have are intake/exhaust with stock headers/x-pipe and stock tune. What do you have done?
