c230k losses
well i have had my car since april and today i had my first race in my c230k .. and what a dissapointing race it was. i lost to a 92ish accord.. i know my car isnt the fastest car out there but is it really that slow? i figure it is since it is a automatic but before i had this previous car i drove a neon and it was a 5 spd and i can honestly say it was faster then my new car..

Without knowing all the specs of the car you raced, it's hard to say how slow your car is.
Also, is your car broken in? Our car actually got a bit faster after a while.
Or, was the other car modded?
But yes, our 230k sedan (auto) is slow. A modern Accord could spank it (240 hp for 2003 models, iirc). You'd have to get them in the twisties, or maybe with the race starting at over 80 mph; the Benz seems to be geared towards high speeds.
Regardless, get used to it. We've got 189 horsepower, and even modded Civics can blow us away.

yeah ur right just the fact that it was ghetto as a ****.. of course it had some sort of swap but still.. damm thing had altezzas and graphichs and was 14 different colors.. but i know just wish the car came with more fronting power..

Don’t feel bad. Can’t beat everyone. I have gone against some POS car and lost. My cousin had a civic looked like junk. Had lots of dents cracked paint but modified like hell it was faster than turbo Z turbo supras. A guy I used to work with had a very old truck no paint its was only primer but he had close to 500HP. The truck looked like **** but it was fast as hell. Don’t be fooled by looks.

Uh...that's probably because your 19 inch rims robbed your car of power.
My car has the stock 16 sport rims and it can beat stock civics, 90-99 accords and what nots.

yeah, for a lower power car, for looks AND power, I'd go for the 17inch rim, because it looks good and most importantly, it won't take that much power away from you.
But 19's are extremely pimp and will probably increase you handling by alot, but don't expect your car to perform well in straight line acceleration. (eh, you probably would've killllled that accord in the twisties. heh)

Off the line the C230K isnt too fast, its only a 4cylinder supercharged, but it has top end speed. I do rolling starts from 60mph on have not lost yet, most people arent willing to breach the barriers I am willing to touch. In actuallity it is not that slow, Ive taken a GTI VR6 off the line and when we hit second I took him badly, but he probably wasnt the best of drivers either. Im good with the tip tronic, automatic is too slow for off the line. Like already stated previously the ESP and ETS will help you kill anyone on the backroads and on the twistys, never been out done there either, except by my boys AWD S4. Dont despair just get use to you car, break it in, and knowing when to use it is key.

Its like everyone said MB's have high top end power thats what they're desgined for. You may have lost but you looked a hell of alot better losing, than the Accord did winning. Get 'em on the freeway.
