05 crossfire w/SL55 drivetrain installed by Rudy Compart Intake/Needswings best et-10.76 @ 129
amx1397 win/corvette lost
Well I decided to go to the track Wed. night, first round 60 foot was a 1.68, at 11.0,
then I put The car in first gear and tried it again and again,again came up with 11.0 & 11.1, though I had gained nothing from my new plugs and intake from Needswings. also the track kind of made some changes ,,,for test and tune, there are three classes, one is for slicks,, one is for street tires, and the last one is for drag radials. I had my new drag radials , It was 85° and I was on 93 octane from a racetrack gas station. Tuned by JS Benz tcm/327 gears by Rcompart
For the first three hours I was the only car with drag radials. Finally a Corvette showed up, that was Supercharged and nitrous,,so I figured finally about to get a good run,
We lined up ,I got a very good burnout . I put it in drive this time, set the RPM about 900 to 1000, once the light started to come down,when that that third yellow lit up I let it go,,I pulled away From the Corvette so fast, I thought maybe either his nitrous didn't work in or maybe he broke something, on the way back to the pits, I stop and pick up my time slip,, it's dark I can't see good enough to read the time slip, but I could see the 11.7,and said screw it I'm going home. ,I got back to the pits, got the jacks out jacked up the car,and was putting my street tires back on, one one of my friends that went to the track with me came up, and said I didn't get to see you run, what did you run,,I said I don't really know I couldn't see the time slip,, I reached in the car and handed it to one of the guys, and he said holly sh** you know you ran 10 .8, gimme that slip let me see,, by this time there must've been half a dozen people around the car, I couldn't get anything done from answering questions,
in conclusions I did it, 10.855 @ 128.79 no one got a video of the run but here is the time slip. jim
