Killed by a Toyota Tundra V8
As I'm comming back fom a seminar today I'm on the exit ramp and I get close to a Toyota Tundra, extended cab and from the side I noticed the V8 badge, at first I though it was nice looking (Red color), and then decided to play with the guy a little. We did OK at around 60-90 mph, then we came to a red light, it is 10:30 pm so there's hardly anybody on the feeder now, at the green we both punch it nice and hard, I chirped just a little but had a better reaction to the green so by 20 mph his front bumper is by my rear bumper and by 90 mph his rear bumper is by my front bumper, so there, he beat me by just a little, Toyota Tundra V8 had 240 HP, 315 lb torque, but guess what I was driving my 96 Suburban 
So I don't think I did so bad considering the weight, size and drag coeficient differece I have exhaust (flowmasters dual all the way), Bosch Platinum 4+, K&N Air Filter and Reprogrammed Computer, and yes my Suburban can chirp tires in the right weather. Ohh and my tank was almost full, it takes 42 gallons to fill, so that's an added weight!

Poch! Good try anyways. I guess this was your seminar just a few hours ago. What are the specification of the Suburban? When I first saw the story, I`m like, you got killed by a Tundra!

Original Suburban has 255 hp, don't remember how much torque, I dynoed the truck in Jan 2000 (before the spark plugs)it did 223 RWHP (about 274 hp) and 319.8 RWTorque (about 390 ft-lb ).
MB AMG, Yes it was that seminar/class for Securities.
Car was at home in the garage since tank was low and I didn't have time to go fill it up

Wait a second. What did you have under the hood, Poch? A 350 or big block?
The 454 has so much torque it will absolutely rip up the pavement from a stop. And it sounds AWESOME. I love that deep throated big block gurgling growl.
The truck my father uses (and I borrow sometimes)at the business has a really slippery TC, and power that seems boundless. It is a '93 3500 Silverado 4x4 extended cab pickup with 454 Tonawanda engine. Wish I knew more about 'em.
Love that thing, as much as it loves its 87 oct.
(Quite a step up from the '86 1500 Ford pickup big 6)

454? I had the pleasure of riding in a GTO that had a 454 small block in my 1st year of college. There were about 5 of us in the car. Some tiny sports-like car revved beside us at the light. It wasn't even close. The loser-people were cool, though, they gave us a cheerful wave (kinda like they knew what they were up against but had to see firsthand?).

But I'm not unhappy with it because with my lead foot and all I'm still getting about 12.5 mpg in the city and about 15 o the highway (@ 85-90 mph average most of the time). New top speed has been raised from the ****ty 98 mph to a more descent 127 mph, and I've hit the limiter a couple of times already.

It has the 350 engine (5.7 lt), but because the computer is reprogrammed for advanced timming I have to use 93 octane, it usually takes aboud 60-68 dlls to fill it up
