'15 Mercedes E63 4matic S vs '12 E550 4matic on the Autobahn
The "race" started at ~120km/h (75 mph) and ended at 250km/h (155mph) due to winter tires speed limit (V-Rated tires only ).
Note: The highway striping is 6m (~20ft) long, the cap between is 12m (~40ft). As you can see, the E63 pulls the E550 really hard. 50m (165ft) within 17s...

Indeed, but at typical US-speeds (40-100mph), the difference was nearly none! From a stop the AMG was a lot faster (due to the MCT and the shorter gearing), but from a roll at lower speeds (up to ~120mph) the E500 was very, very strong. beyond 120mph it was a totally different story...

Of course it would be closer. However, as the AMG has very fast upshifts with its MCT transmission, it would take the E550 even more hp to be faster than an AMG.
Besides: The Difference between a stock E550 and an 520hp E550 from 0-155mph is less than 3s...so for me a tune is not an option, as warrenty is more important to me.
