Heading in to work this morning and was first at a stoplight, while still sitting at the red light, a black, de-badged, loud Civic stops next to me, young guy. The light changes and he gives it a little gas, but just normal acceleration. I stayed next to him till about 30 or so, then he punched it. He got about a 1/2 cl on me by the time I punched it and dropped to second. Immediately, he stops gaining, and starts losing! I got to about a 1/2 c/l on him in a few feet and kept pulling away. Got about 4-5 c/l on him by about 90 ish or so, then I shifted into 4th. If we'd had more room, I'd have been in the next county soon. He never had a chance. As it was, we were coming upon traffic so I slowed to 60 ish, and he caught up, and gave me a thumbs up and smiled! Not a tremendous kill comparatively, but worth mentioning since I was in an SUV.
