2003 S55 AMG vs 2008 BMW M5
Hello Fellow MB Enthusiast,
I wanted to share with you a experience that I had with a friend of mine late last month. My buddy picked up a 2008 BMW M5 (6 Speed Manual) late last month and I was excited because I have always wanted to run one in my S55. Prior to the S55, I had a 2007 BMW M6 (Same V10 Motor) but it had the SMG transmission which was okay but I would have preferred a true manual instead.
Anyway, one day after work we met up and cruised on the highway. We waited for a safe opening and did a 60mph roll. We did the 3 horn honk thing and I immediately pulled away from him, as I started pulling away I let off at about 100ish because a RED ABC light came up on my dash (I ended up replacing the ABC Pump).
It was a great run none the less and I was very happy with the outcome. My friends M5 was bone stock. My S55 has a upgraded Supercharger Pulley, ECU Tune, TCM tune, Upgraded C&R Heat Exchanger and Johnson CM30 Intercooler pump all from the guys over at Eurocharged.

Nice! What made you want to sell the M6? I always loved the sound of that V10. I've also heard that a manual E60 M5 is a handicapped M5, but regardless a modded 55k always seems to have the edge on the S85s
