Lost to a Z06, but not by much

50 to 120. Started out even. There was no question if he wanted to race. . . sounded like he was running 5000 RPM in 2nd when we punched it. He pulled me 1/2 car, which I made up when he shifted to 3rd. He pulled me slooooowly to 120. Maybe a car or car and 1/2 by 120. My car: Evosport Stage I C32. Those Z06 Vettes are quick!

Hey, sounds like a great run! I not familiar with your car (I'm new to the MB world), can you give me some quick numbers? Hp, tq, weight, and such?

Hey Howser:

Car is a 2002 C32 AMG with the following mods:

Evosport Stage I (larger pulley, thermo-independent intercooler, ECU remap)
K&N filter
Optima Battery

Car dyno'd around 330 rwhp and tq., which translates to just about 400 engine HP and torque. I think that the dyno was actually a little low, because the moron didn't put any cooling fans on the motor which dynoing, which caused the computer to retard timing. I would guess that it weighs in a little under 3500 lbs. I think that the engine output of the Z06 is about the same as my car, but the Z06 weighs less.

Thumbs up

I have seen Z06's run 12.3's at the track and only once got to run with one, took him by two car lengths and he was a good driver, didn't miss a gear or blow the launch.
